Privacy policy

Sponsorly is a sponsorship-management tool for community sports clubs, built and operated in Sydney, Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

We only collect what we need to run the service and reply to you:

• When you contact us or register for the pilot:your name, email, club name, sport, and anything you choose to tell us about your club's sponsorship setup.
• When your club uses Sponsorly:the sponsor, contract, deliverable and payment information your club enters. This is your club's data — you control it.
• Basic, privacy-friendly analytics: aggregate visit data with no cookies and no cross-site tracking, so we can see which pages are useful.

We use your information to:

• reply to your enquiry and, if you register, help set your club up;
• provide, maintain and improve the Sponsorly service;
• keep the service secure and prevent misuse.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.

We use a small set of trusted service providers to run Sponsorly. They only process data on our instructions:

• Vercel — website and application hosting;
• Neon — database hosting;
• Cloudflare — security and content delivery;
• Resend — sending email (such as your enquiry and our replies);
• Sentry — error monitoring so we can fix problems.

We keep primary club data in Australian (Sydney) data regions where our providers offer them. Some providers may process limited data overseas; where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure it's handled consistently with the APPs (including APP 8 on cross-border disclosure).

We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable infrastructure to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your club's data seriously and design for it from the start.

Your club's data belongs to your club. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your information at any time — just email us at hello@sponsorly.auand we'll help. If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
